CLASP Services are intended for our older population who are or feel isolated and who have no transport or no access to transport.
CLASP provides the following services Meals on Wheels, Rural Transport, Weekly Shopping and Pension run, Home Care Support and Active Age Clubs.
In order to use CLASP’s Services you need to be a member. There is a voluntary yearly fee of €50.00
You can join online or call the office on 071 916 5577 and we’ll send you an application form in the post. Please be aware that you must live within our catchment area of East Sligo.
We need your details in order to be able to provide our services to you. We need your address and Eircode if we are delivering Meals on Wheels to you, we also need your address, Eircode and Free Travel Pass number (if you have one) in order to collect you if you use our Rural Transport service for Health Care appointments. Your Free Travel Pass enables you to use the service free, otherwise there is a charge.
You must be referred by a Public Health Nurse in order to receive Meals on Wheels. The nurse will take your details, your dietary requirements and pass these onto CLASP.
Once you have been referred you can pay for your meals online, of course you can pay the delivery driver either if that is your preference. You can pay via direct debit, bank transfer & visa card.
You get a hot dinner and dessert, all our vans are specially equipped to deliver hot meals.

Yes you can, always remember to specify which days you want your meals for.
You must be a member to use Rural Transport. Please call the office on 071 916 5708 to book, we ask that you give a minimum of 24hrs notice, but we ask that you give as much notice as possible both if booking or if you need to cancel your lift. Transport phone number is 071 916 5708.
Our Active Age Clubs are where people meet up for a hot meal, chat and activities.
Yes anyone can join, we ask that you become a member of CLASP
Yes they will.
Bingo, card games, Art etc.
Usually retired or pension age, but all are welcome.
